Role Overview

Role Overview

The successful candidate will support the Head of People and Culture to develop and implement the HR strategy globally. They will partner with the senior leadership team across locations to drive positive sustainable change, while acting as a sounding board for employee matters. They will work closely with the business centres to attract, develop and retain high calibre talent while enhancing the employee experience and adding value to the business. The individual will be resourceful and flexible and operate with a high degree of professionalism and diplomacy across all facets of HR. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment with the ability to juggle conflicting priorities and a demanding workload. The role will involve a degree of international travel.

What you will help us to achieve

 

Responsibilities

•    Support the implementation of the global HR strategy by driving and leading strategic HR initiatives specific to each location and/ or division.  
•    Provide expertise in employment law matters and coach the leadership team to handle conflict and complex people issues. Partner with leaders to manage individual cases to a successful conclusion (grievance, disciplinary, dignity and respect issues and so forth).
•    Provide expert guidance to the leadership team in the application of HR policies and practices.
•    Oversee the performance management process ensuring performance improvement plans are implemented where necessary. Support line managers to provide employees with development opportunities to meet current and future requirements.
•    Partner with the Head of People and Culture to promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement. 
•    Complete a gap analysis to identify skills gaps and implement a development programme to tackle these areas.
•    Work with the Head of People & Culture to develop a leadership development programme based on peer to peer coaching, mentoring and personal growth.
•    Create an International Mentoring Programme to upskill existing employees in the business.
•    Oversee all cyclical processes to ensure the delivery of an efficient and effective HR service including year end pay review cycle, bonus scheme, promotions and succession planning.
•    Work hard to establish and maintain a highly regarded HR brand within the business based on pragmatism, fairness and trust.
•    Proactively challenge the status quo to drive efficiencies and streamline existing HR processes and procedures.
•    Coordinate the employee engagement survey, communicate the results and identify and implement solutions.
•    Work with the local HR team members to support recruitment initiatives globally.
•    Play a key role in the global DEI Committee.
•    Prepare Board and Committee papers for review and presentation.
•    Compile and share key HR performance metrics with the business to measure employee engagement and propose strategies to continuously drive positive change.
 

What you will need to be successful in the role

Undergraduate degree
•    CIPD qualification / membership
•    Experience in a HR Business Partner role with a minimum of 10 years’ experience. 
•    In depth knowledge of employment legislation in Ireland
•    Experience of international HR an advantage
•    Significant experience in managing employee relations, providing coaching and acting as a sounding board to the senior leadership team
•    Attention to detail and meticulous approach to work
