- Serve as the primary point of contact for approximately 50 – 60 mid-market clients and advisors
- Strengthen relationships with clients and advisors through delivery of our value propositions
- Maintain knowledge regarding industry trends and legislative/regulatory requirements and changes
- Meet with clients and advisors on investment, fiduciary, compliance, education, and service matters
- Provide consultative and technical solutions in retirement regulatory compliance, including an annual plan review
- Proactively communicate with clients, advisors, and plan auditors on annual plan compliance results and Form 5500 needs
- Proactively request information and alert clients to plan operational and compliance matters
- Communicate 401(k) recordkeeping processes
- Monitor annual plan projects, calendars, and deadlines
- Maintain documentation on client projects and responses within JULYs CRM software tool
- Prioritize, research and resolve client questions related to technology, plan operation, compliance and other matters
- Coordinate with other team members as required for support on recordkeeping and plan administration
- Regular use of video for client and advisor calls
Our Needs…
- 5+ years of experience in qualified retirement plans with expert knowledge of plan design, products, and regulations
- QKA Required
- Bachelor’s Degree Required
- Proven track record of successfully managing and servicing retirement plans, including plan design, regulatory compliance and recordkeeping items
- Extensive knowledge of retirement plan design options, including defined contribution plans (401(k), 403(b), profit-sharing) and defined benefit plans
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively address complex plan issues
- Familiarity with fiduciary responsibilities and the ability to provide guidance on investment selection, monitoring, and benchmarking
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and emerging regulations impacting the retirement plan industry
- Service-minded individual with a strong work ethic and resilient personality able to handle direct client feedback
- Strong ability to handle difficult conversations in a positive and professional manner, and de-escalate conflict
