Dogtopia of Town Center is looking for a fellow dog lover to join our growing team as the Assistant General Manager! Dogtopia is the industry leader in dog daycare where health and safety is always our #1 priority. We provide a fun, fast-paced work environment that focuses on team culture and always makes it the Most Exciting Day Ever!

We “Enhance the joy of dog parenthood...” by providing clean, safe, and educational dog daycare to our furry guests and their pet parents. We believe in creating better canine citizens by truly S.E.E.ing (Socializing, Exercising, and Educating) each dog; which we believe helps keep dogs in their loving, forever homes and out of shelters.

We also “...Enable dogs to positively change our world” through our Dogtopia Foundation. Our foundation features three worthy causes: sponsoring service dogs for returning service veterans, youth literacy programs, and initiatives to employ adults with autism. We host weekly Foundation fundraising events within our daycare center including fun photo booth days, special treats, and dog arts and crafts. At Dogtopia of Town Center, we have already sponsored several service dogs and are well on our way to sponsoring more!

The Role

Assistant General Manager
This is a role for someone with a management and operations background who understands hard work, and how to deliver and train others to provide top customer service and ensure a great environment for the dogs in our care. This person should love dogs - and, upon successful completion of training, you can even bring YOUR dog to work with you! What a bonus!

Responsibilities

• Be willing to do what is necessary to meet the needs of the pet parent and create an unparalleled experience for them
• Caring for all furry friends as if they were a part of your family
• Creates staffing schedule and monitors daily schedules
• Delivers written performance reviews and gives employees positive acknowledgment when due!
• Dismisses dogs proactively with ongoing behavior issues and monitors action plans to retain those with minor issues
• ENJOY your team! GROW your team! And PLAY to your fullest potential
• Keeps the team members engaged in their duties
• Leads by example by coaching all on contributing to a positive team
• Maintain and update the cleaning schedule, along with holding themselves and the team accountable to Dogtopia’s safety and cleaning standards
• Onboard all employees and ensure each employee has the correct amount of training
• Proficient in POS software (training to be provided)
• Proven ability to offer verbal and written feedback to team members to hold accountability to standards
• Understanding our Dogtopia-isms (listed in Summary)
• Utilizes training opportunities for the team such as dog injuries, billing issues, or customer complaints
