Value Stream Process Engineering INTERN – Summer 2024

 

THE COMPANY

With smart system solutions and components for electric, hybrid and internal combustion drivetrains, Vitesco Technologies makes mobility clean, efficient and affordable. Our Seguin, TX location is seeking a highly self-motivated and detail-oriented Facilities Intern to join our team.

 

THE PROJECT

• Implement/utilize OEE tracking to review daily line OEE
• Use project management skills to ensure new lines are ready for key milestones
• Interact with production management, engineers, technicians, and operators to improve overall performance of area
• Document Rework Profiles for Automated Repair process and release proper line documentation.

 

THE OUTCOME

• Improved OEE of lines – Daily tracking of performance and actions to improve performance
• Launch of new production lines to increase plant capacity
• Successful interaction with multiple job disciplines in a manufacturing environment.

 

Job Requirements

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

 

• Scheduled workday is Monday- Friday 8am-5pm (40hrs a week) but Intern must be available for shift rotation for 24/7 production operation.
• Must be in good standing and currently enrolled in an accredited university degree program
• Must currently have a GPA of 2.8 or higher to be considered
• Must be a currently enrolled student working toward a bachelor’s degree in Engineering at an accredited college or university
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship by the company
• All students must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship
• Must be able to present scope of project

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to stand/climb/stoop/bend/carry up to 28 pounds

• No special requirements
