The selected candidate will balance 80% technical responsibilities and 20% functional manager responsibilities and may include Control Account Management and Risk Management duties.

What you’ll get to do:
- Lead Airworthiness Program Certification efforts.
- Support internal and external customer and stakeholder meetings.
- Guide the evolution of the Sentinel Program Certification process.
- Establish key initiatives in support of the organization’s strategic and tactical plans.
- Collaborate with peers and other leaders for resource planning and staffing activities.
- Assess current and future staffing needs; work with team leads to address those needs.
- Coach, support, train, and motivate team members to ensure a high level of performance.
- Support staffing activities including the creation of requisitions, conducting interviews, and approving offers.
- Provide subordinates with career development recommendations, mentoring, and performance counseling.
- Partner with engineering and program management peers to assure a balanced and efficient assignment of resources to support and achieve key mission priorities Foster a working environment which reinforces and drives accountability to fundamental Northrop Grumman Values focused on integrity, quality, shared success, and innovation.
- Establish personal, program, and functional goals as well as conduct performance evaluations and merit adjustments for subordinates.
- Enable mission focused technical changes and updates as iteration occurs. Adjust technical and program direction as discovery occurs and communicate updated plan.
- Closely coordinate and collaborate with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), USAF and USN Program Offices, executive leadership, Office of Chief Engineers (OCE), and IWO partners.
- Manage the development and execution of the MMIII and Sentinel Secondary Launch Capability (SLC) Airworthiness efforts. Additional platforms to support airworthiness certification include helicopters, at a minimum.
- Support the SLP-A Program Management Team by ensuring Systems Engineering activities/needs/concerns are coordinated and addressed. This includes coordinating with SMT Leads, System Test, and Systems Engineers to ensure that requirements and verification (qualification testing) meet the intents of airworthiness certification when tested per RTCA DO-160 and MIL-STD-810.
