Overview:

Sentara Medical Group is seeking to hire an individual to join our team as a Senior Medical Assistant-Mobile Care.

Position Location: Harrisonburg, VA (rotation between clinic 8-5 pm and mobile bus)

Position Status: Full-time

Standard Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 10:00 am -7:00 pm (varies on mobile bus)

Overview

Perform patient care related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluation, and as delegated or assigned by and/or under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner (NP)/Physician Assistant (PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Perform administrative duties, as appropriate.

Education

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • Medical Assisting Certificate

Certification/Licensure

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Certification- American Medical Certification Association (AMCA) OR
  • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) - Certification - American Medical Technologists (AMT)
  • BLS required within 90 days of hire.

Experience

  • Medication Administration (certification/training) is preferred
  • Bilingual Preferred English- Spanish
  • Preferred prior experience on Community Health and Community Events
  • Preferred prior Pediatric Experience.
  • Candidate must be able to work on some weekends

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, benefits, and equity. The base pay rate for Full Time employment is:$17.31 - $28.85
