Job Summary

Under general direction, directs the activities and monitors progress of the department. Oversees the preparation of management reports and departmental budget. Establishes and monitors area workflow to adjust procedures and/or training needs as necessary. Provides departmental associates both guidance for corporate/ department policies and coaching for area performance and team building activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops training, evaluates and develops associates, including hiring and disciplinary action.
  • Directs and monitors area workflow, delegates tasks, revises schedules in response to volume fluctuations.
  • Assists staff with resolution of complex business issues.
  • Prepares monthly status updates and annual department budget for management.
  • Analyzes recurring inquiries to identify training needs of associates and directs subsequent training.
  • Develops, implements, and enforces service standards to quantify associates and team performance..
  • Oversees and supports the tactical execution of the Construction Loan Administration, Mortgage Funding, Corporate Loan operations and General Ledger reconciliation processes.
  • Completes performance evaluations, annual salary reviews and bonus allocations.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Knowledge of

  • Microsoft Office products sufficient to create/update spreadsheets and documents as well as communicate via e-mail.
  • Construction Loan Administration
  • General Ledger reconciliation
  • Mortgage funding
  • Corporate Lending
  • General office practices, procedures and methods.
  • General supervisory principles.

Skill in

  • Interpersonal communication sufficient to interact with associates at all levels.
  • Problem solving sufficient to effectively analyze, research and resolve inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Mathematics sufficient to perform basic math functions.

Ability to

  • Handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Respond quickly and adjust to changing priorities.
  • Provide a high level of service to clients, including management.

Education

Bachelor’s: Accounting, Bachelor’s: Business Administration, Bachelor’s: Finance

Work Experience

General Experience - 6 to 10 years

Certifications

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - Boards of Accountancy (NASBA), Securities Industry Essentials Exam (SIE) - Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA)
