Manager - Payroll and Insurance Accounting

Paradies-Lagardere is recruiting a Manager, Payroll and Insurance Accounting to join our Accounting Center of Excellence.  This role will report to the Director of Accounting and will provide leadership and direction over all Payroll, Group Insurance, General Insurance, Royalties and General Accounting responsibilities. 

This position will work to ensure that all payroll and applicable benefits are recorded appropriately as well as the calculation and payment submission of royalties. Continually review processes for streamlining and efficiencies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Review month-end journal entries and reconciliations (payroll, insurance and royalties).
• Develop and implement a strategy to improve the accuracy of recording Payroll, Insurance and Royalties
• Deliver overview of monthly P&L results.
• Participate in the month-end and year-end financial statement consolidation process along with submission to parent company
• Interface with external auditors and Lagardere Travel Retail Group’s Consolidation Team around all topics Payroll, Benefits and Royalties
• Oversee Senior and Staff Accountants with the responsibility to record payroll, benefits and royalties
• Plan for, Manage and Coordinate with, outside auditors to ensure timely submission of audit requests
• Ad hoc project completion and continuous process improvements

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS:

• Required: BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in Accounting, CPA preferred
• Required: 5+ years public or private accounting experience
• High Proficiency in excel, project management, leadership, team building and critical thinking
• Knowledge in SAP Accounting Software, S4/Hana beneficial
