Job Summary

Responsible for directing the Accounting department function related to accounting for acquisitions and divestitures, non-financial asset valuation and income taxes. Provides leadership and direction which may include multiple departments and divisions. Develops and implements strategy for functional area(s). May have responsibility for developing and managing budget

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

• Directs functions of the Accounting department related to accounting for acquisitions and divestitures, non-financial asset valuation (e.g., goodwill, intangibles) and financial reporting for income taxes.
• Partners with Corporate Development, FP&A, Legal, Tax and others to evaluate accounting and financial reporting for potential transactions.
• Leads the enterprise testing of intangible assets for impairment, including collaborating with external valuation specialists and auditors.
• Provides oversight and direction to the impairment testing performed across the company’s statutory accounts.
• Reviews periodic financial information to assist in the accurate preparation of the Company’s financial statements in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
• Collaborates across multiple cross-functional initiatives and teams.
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
