Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

$5,000 Sign-On Bonus for External Candidates

Part-Time 7p - 7a

15% Shift Differential

The Registered Nurse has the responsibility and accountability for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge.

• Reviews and documents care provided, outcomes of care, and evaluations of care.

• Follows the professional standards of care.

Requirements:

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ADN) degree from an accredited institution.

• Current unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kentucky required.

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred upon hire and required within 6 months of hire.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred upon hire and required within 90 days of hire. 

• Emergency Nurses Pediatric Course (ENPC) preferred upon hire and required within three years of hire.

• National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) preferred upon hire and required within 6 months of hire.

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred upon hire and required within 6 months of hire.

• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) preferred upon hire and required within two years of hire.

• Mandatory nonviolent crisis prevention training to be completed prior to end of orientation period and maintained annually.
