JOB SUMMARY:
Repairs and maintains industrial equipment and building infrastructure such as building HVAC, motors, pneumatics, and production related roll to roll PLC controlled converting equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to troubleshoot process equipment breakdowns – both mechanical, electrical, and PLC related.
- Ability to change out electrical and mechanical parts such pumps and motors.
- Must be able to read ladder logic to help troubleshoot machine problems.
- Must be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings / blueprints.
- Must be familiar with the use of hand tools such as a drill, a grinder, wrenches, screw drivers, etc.
- Familiar with the use of electrical measuring devices such as a multi-meter, clamp meter, etc.
- Work with production to identify and correct equipment failures and/or other mechanical/electrical issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- More than five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing environment such as film laminating or printing; or more than five (5) years of experience as a field service technician repairing and maintaining industrial equipment.
- Technical College Associates Degree, High School diploma, or general education degree (GED).
- PLC experience is a plus.
- Machining skills is a plus.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED:
- Hand tools such as drilling machine, hand grinder and regular tools (wrenches, screw drivers, etc.).
- Computer to access PLCs and to use common Office applications.
- Electrical measuring devices such as a volt / amp multi-meter, clamp meter, etc.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit.
- The employee is occasionally required to work from ladders.
- The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Work is performed in a clean air-conditioned manufacturing environment around mechanical equipment.
- The noise level in the work environment occasionally requires hearing protection.
- The employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, the risk of electrical shock, and to toxic chemicals and vapors. The employee must be able to wear personal protective equipment and follow safety procedures.
