Summary
The Associate Test Engineer will focus on the testing and validation of electrical products/ systems and components to comply with quality and safety standards. This role is particularly tailored for individuals skilled in troubleshooting specific types of equipment, including ovens, air compressors, mensor sensors, and more.
Detailed Description

Conduct comprehensive tests on various electrical systems, components, and products to assess safety, reliability, and performance.

Working knowledge of circuit analysis fundamentals, demonstration may be included in interview process

Understanding of hardware: software interactions and controls is critical

Address and manage issues related to legacy systems, including Windows 98-2008, as part of obsolescence management.

Perform root cause analyses for equipment failures and recommend corrective actions, consistent with contract manufacturing constraints.

Become the go-to expert for troubleshooting common issues with equipment such as ovens, air compressors, mensor sensors, power supplies, function generators, DMM cards, pixie cards, and CPU fans, out of tolerance equipment.

Formulate effective test strategies that align with product functionality, architecture, and customer requirements.

Implement and maintain test automation frameworks.

Oversee continuous integration and delivery processes to streamline testing.

Handle multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.

Mentor junior team members to foster skill development.

Keep abreast of industry standards, testing trends, and best practices to ensure compliance.
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field, or other tenured experience working in a similar field.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, particularly in troubleshooting specific types of equipment listed under ‘Responsibilities.’

Proficiency in using specialized electrical testing tools such as oscilloscopes.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Experience with valves, liquid nitrogen gas, motors, pumps, meters, pressure gauges, oven controllers, oven parts, and repairs is a plus (hardware). Understanding of hardware: software interactions and controls.
Physical Demands
- Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
- Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
- Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
- Occasional travel may be required.
