CAE Engineer - Vibration Analysis

This role will support vibrational CAE activities for battery module structures and enclosures.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for static, linear and/or nonlinear vibrational analysis utilizing Abaqus
• Set up mesh models and preprocessing tasks
• Run simulations studies for structural improvements to the enclosure and module structures. 
• Interpret data, develop and provide input for countermeasures from post processing for failure improvements and cost down opportunities.
• Provide guidance to engineers on the use of simulation models, setup and simulation analysis
• Communicate effectively within the group about milestones and issues, and outside the group to accomplish goals.
• Analyze and resolve complex problems independently or with minimal guidance.
• Use best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve product and/or processes.
• Travel to client site required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 7+ years relevant exp.
• Education with the following specialties preferred: Mechanical, Mechanical Technology, Aerospace, Automotive, Manufacturing
• 5+ years of experience with CAE simulation software for vibration analysis
• 3+ years of experience in ABAQUS required
• Experience using CAD software (Solidworks preferred)
• Demonstrated experience with optimizing mechanical design through analysis
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, including excel.
