SUMMARY
Performs the daily activities within the customer service area to ensure order fulfillment. Develops and maintains confident relationships with purchasing personnel of customers and field sales. Provides proactive communication regarding account activity to Customer, Sales, Sales Support, Product Management, Finance, and entire Supply Chain (internal/external).
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Acts as primary contact for assigned accounts. This includes receipt and confirmation of customer orders which involves researching material availability, available price record confirmation, shipping method and relevant Customer Service reporting activities/Client portal information communication and retrieval to include order management and invoicing activities for specific clients.
• Source new sales opportunities through quote process and inbound lead follow-up and outbound calls and emails.
• Coordinates with subject matter experts to respond to technical information requests, which includes new designs and changes to existing designs.
• Coordinate with Master Schedulers and Planners to review order status, coordinate changes, and confirm commitment delivery dates to customers timely. Information is utilized to provide routine updates to our customers regarding changes in supply. Provides order related documentation to our customers such as invoices, certificates of analysis, etc. where required.
• Process quotes by reviewing quote history, order history and cost to price strategically with support groups to ensure the highest probability of winning.
• Negotiating pricing, deliveries and schedule on behalf of Amphenol - CIT with customers.
• Professionally handles all customer discrepancies, coordinates with the Quality Department on all quality issues and generates RMA's as necessary.
• Assists with order entry system and other sales related projects when required.
• Takes a proactive approach with outgoing calls, following up with existing account base.
• Takes on additional assignments as requested including training for development.
• Strive to meet department metrics as outlined by Sales Manager and Sales Director.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s Degree or 3 or more years in a customer service/inside sales role.
• 2-5 years of customer service experience with preparing quotations, order entry, contract review, expediting orders and updating order status
LANGUAGE SKILLS
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
JOB SKILLS
• Solid critical thinking skills to analyze information and develop creative approaches to problem solving.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to build rapport and enhance Amphenol - CIT relationships with customers.
• Exceptional organization skills, detail-oriented approach and thorough in completing tasks with speed.
• Able to work professionally and effectively on the telephone, through email, written correspondence, PC and on the Amphenol - CIT systems.
• Excellent computer skills with MS Office programs and experience with MRP systems.
• Able and willing to work overtime and flexible hours to meet customer needs.
• Self-motivated, have and maintain a positive attitude, show initiative and act with sense of urgency
• Demonstrates good judgment and decision-making skills
