This role will support the Power Renewables business unit. You will enable and support the consistent implementation of the Power – Health and Safety Manual and management system elements, programs, standards and practices for a growing and dynamic business unit. This position requires strong field presence and customer relationships, strategic, analytical and management system skills as well as strong foundations in technical writing.

What You Will Do:
Development, implementation, and sustainment of occupational health and personal safety programs, including training.
Develop safety communications specific to programs and projects to foster a learning organization.
Implement safety initiatives at Enbridge (S&R, strategic, compliance) using project management and organizational change principles.
Develop innovative solutions, engaging internal and external partners, developing solutions to challenges and applying solutions. Seeking endorsement from various levels of leadership will be required for some items.
Maintain high standard of customer relationships and customer support. Act as a key safety focal point for US Field Operations.
Accountable for quality and timely reporting of safety data and information both leading and lagging data. Analyzing data and providing interpretation and insights.
Accountable to provide on-location field support (including travel) to Texas, Colorado, and West Virginia, and other locations as business needs dictate. This might include some travel to Canada.
Required:
Degree/Diploma or Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
Minimum 7 or more years of progressively responsible health & safety experience within the Power, Renewables (wind/solar), utilities, oil and gas or petrochemical industry is preferred. Other combinations of education and experience will be considered.
Experience with OH&S regulations in US specifically electrical hazards and controls would be considered an asset.
Demonstrated ability to be innovative, tactical, initiate and manage change, work collaboratively, negotiate, influence without authority, facilitate, solve problems, make decisions, work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results.
Proven interpersonal, communication, writing and computer skills.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Passport required for travel outside of country.
Preferred:
Registered Safety Professional designation/ Certified Safety Professional or other Professional Board Certification preferred.
Working Conditions:
Office environment requiring extensive work on computer, networking with stakeholders, research of technical issues and development of plans and reports.
Frequent field work, presence, and travel expectations for audits, reviews, inspections, assessments, meetings, training and field safety support as assigned. Field Travel up to 25% or as business needs dictate.
Ability to successfully complete climbing and working at heights certifications, self-rescue, as well as the physical demands associated with climbing wind turbines and working in confined spaces and coaching
