• Work cross-functionally to design, plan, deploy, and manage secure wired and wireless network infrastructure in labs.
• Provide support and consultation to internal teams designing secure wired and wireless network infrastructure to test and validate new products.
• Identify risks across network infra that would lead to exposure of sensitive data, unauthorized access, or loss of availability and champion remediation efforts to address gaps.
• Perform hands-on troubleshooting, issue, and problem resolution.
• Leverage packet captures and work with tools like WireShark to root cause network related issues.
• Proactively contribute to documentation, automation, and processes.
• Use internal tools and scripts to configure, monitor, and repair network events.

Minimum Qualifications

• Requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Software, Computer Engineering, Security Informatics, Information Technology, or related field and two years of work experience in the job offered or in a network-related occupation.
• Requires two years of experience in the following:
• 1. UNIX, TCP/IP, or network fundamentals
• 2. Programming languages (Python, Perl, or C++)
• 3. Leading network efforts to investigate, prevent, and mitigate security incidents
• 4. Building maintainable and testable codes bases including API design and unit testing techniques
• 5. Routing and switching technologies including IPv4 and IPv6 networking, L2/L3 network protocols (spanning-tree, OSPF, BGP), TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLAN, VRRP, LACP, MC-LAG, EVPN with VXLAN, or ACL
• 6. Network security appliances, firewall, VPN, or dual factor authentication
• 7. Design and implementation of secure network systems
• 8. Knowledge of technology-agnostic approach to engineering
• 9. Evaluating and testing new vendor platforms and in house network initiatives for security issues.
