SAP Business One (B1) Project Manager (Discrete, MTO, ETO)

We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead the implementation of SAP Business One (B1) project for a discrete manufacturing operation, with a focus on engineer-to-order and make-to-order processes. This role involves integrating SAP B1 with a commercial off-the-shelf Product Engineering/Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system and a custom-built Manufacturing Execution System (MES). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production planning and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Planning and Management:
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets for the SAP B1 implementation.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Integration and Customization:
  • Oversee the integration of SAP B1 with the PLM system and custom-built MES, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability.
  • Coordinate with technical teams to customize SAP B1 to meet business requirements.
• Production Planning and MRP:
  • Utilize expertise in production planning and MRP to optimize manufacturing processes within SAP B1.
  • Implement best practices in production scheduling, inventory management, and resource allocation.
• Stakeholder Communication:
  • Serve as the primary liaison between project teams, stakeholders, and vendors.
  • Provide regular status updates and project reports to senior management.
• Team Leadership:
  • Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, ensuring alignment and collaboration.
  • Facilitate effective communication and problem-solving among team members.
• Risk Management:
  • Identify and assess project risks, developing and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor project progress and address issues promptly to keep the project on track.
• Quality Assurance:
• Ensure that all project deliverables meet business requirements and quality standards.
• Oversee testing and validation of integrated systems, ensuring they function correctly.

Qualifications:

• Experience:
  • Proven experience in managing SAP Business One (B1) implementations, particularly in discrete manufacturing, engineer-to-order, and make-to-order environments.
  • Strong background in production planning and Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
  • Experience integrating SAP B1 with commercial off-the-shelf PLM systems and custom-built MES.
• Skills:
  • Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams.
• Languages:
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
• Certifications:
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification is preferred.
