About the role

Location: Tipton Medical Office Building 

Schedule: Rotating 6:45 a.m.–5:00 p.m., 8‑hour onsite shifts 

Part-time 24 hours per week! This position is benefits eligible!

Key Responsibilities 

Initiate the patient appointment process, including check‑in and check‑out. 

  • Verify insurance coverage, obtain required consents, and manage incoming phone calls. 

  • Maintain efficient patient flow and ensure accurate demographic and financial data collection to support reimbursement and clinical outcomes. 

  • Schedule appointments, explain department and hospital policies, and enter charges into appropriate systems. 

  • Provide accurate information and direct patients and visitors in a professional manner. 

Skills for Success 

  • Strong computer proficiency, including Cerner, Five9, E‑Care Next/Passport, and Microsoft 365 (Outlook/Teams). 

  • Exceptional attention to detail. 

  • Strong interpersonal and customer‑service skills. 

Qualifications 

  • High School Diploma or GED required. 

  • Healthcare experience preferred. 

  • Ability to learn and retain medical coding; ICD‑10 and CPT knowledge preferred. 

  • Ability to interpret insurance information; familiarity with clinical practices and medical terminology preferred. 

  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
