Riverside Research is seeking a full-time Space/Counterspace Systems Modeling & Simulation Project Manager to support the National Space Intelligence Center (NSIC) at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH.  This position is part of a multi-disciplinary team that will support creation of a modeling & simulation enterprise for adversary space and counterspace systems/capabilities spanning the United States Space Force (USSF).

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Support creation of a modeling & simulation enterprise for adversary space and counterspace systems/capabilities; draft policy and guidance; designate participants as well as their roles and responsibilities; categorize inputs, outputs, and their dependencies; develop and document processes and procedures. 
  • Recommend a structure to provide oversight and management of the modeling & simulation enterprise for adversary space and counterspace systems/capabilities. Prepare a charter that captures the committee’s purpose, authorities, limitations, and general governance
  • Identify, validate, and prioritize customer requirements for modeling & simulation products of adversary space and counterspace systems/capabilities
  • Survey existing modeling & simulation standards used by the Department of Defense (DoD), the Intelligence Community (IC), United States Space Force (USSF), Space Operations Command (SpOC), and Space Systems Command (SSC) 
  • Consider the need for different standards across product lines; characterize strengths, weaknesses, as well as direct and indirect costs, of various standards

Required Qualifications:

  • Active TS clearance with SCI adjudication
  • Bachelor's degree preferably in engineering, physics, software development, math, or similar fields
  • Intelligence professional with a minimum of 10 years' experience supporting all aspects of the intelligence cycle
  • Familiarity with modeling and simulation in support of DoD or IC requirements
  • Effective/efficient written/verbal communication skills; proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented, responsible team player able to work independently with minimal daily direction
  • Ability to work and interact with technically and organizationally diverse personnel
  • Open to occasional travel

Desired Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with National Air & Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) or National Space Intelligence Center (NSIC) analysis and production processes
  • Master's degree in engineering, software development, computer science or similar technical fields
  • Proficient in a various software languages and applications to include Python, Systems Took Kit, and Orbit Determination Tool Kit
  • Experience supporting USSF, SpOC, SSC, or US Space Command (USSPACECOM)
