We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Sustainability Manager with a focus on decarbonization initiatives.

 

The purpose of this role is to lead and coordinate Hiab Decarbonization activities, increase Hiab sustainable offering and drive sustainable sales to achieve profitable growth and meet the climate action targets. This is a global cross-Hiab commercial/climate role.

Your primary responsibility in this role will be to energize and engage the Hiab businesses to develop value-adding eco offering and sales/business models in collaboration with the Divisional product management, R&D, Finance, OEM/KAM, Pricing team and Sales functions/CSC units. Also, you will represent Hiab, find and drive demand with key external stakeholders and seek support from the regulatory bodies.  You'll achieve this by leading key climate related programmes and projects, and being directly engaged in the day-to-day Divisional business planning.

Main tasks and responsibilities

 

  • Develop sustainable and circular business models and guidelines in collaboration with Hiab Divisions: sales models, sales support materials, pricing logic, total cost of ownership calculations, circular business solutions etc. to ensure continued sustainable and profitable growth
  • Develop and maintain ECO portfolio standards and processes and boost ECO order intake to achieve both short and long term climate targets
  • Gather requirements from customers, OEMs and other key stakeholders to understand their business processes and quantify their needs and use those inputs to strategically drive eco concepts, development requirements and offering
  • Co-develop, maintain and deliver product roadmaps with Divisional Product Management that will achieve targeted CO2 emission reductions. Ensure alignment of product roadmaps with technology roadmaps, identify and support global initiatives
  • Collaborate with the Divisions in the creation of mid and long term technology development roadmaps
  • Implement company strategy for climate action and decarbonization
  • Define strategy for and build up a decarbonization hub to grow customer, market and competition insights, develop internal capabilities and share experiences (incl. PM, sales), coordinate communication, secure funding, and track & influence regulatory developments.

What you’ll need to succeed

 

Education

  • University (Bachelor's or Master's degree) level and relevant working experience within sustainability, product management, economy or engineering. 

 

Experience

  • Building strategy, global cross functional hubs and track record of driving change and engagement
  • Sustainability management (e.g. GHG, GRI, EU Taxonomy, LCA etc)
  • Development of commercial and circular solutions and advanced product management including requirements management
  • Capturing and presenting market intelligence and customer insight data.

 

Competencies

  • Strong change leadership, sales and project management skills, preferably from large scale and strategic initiatives in a global context with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong people and communication skills from operative to technical and management level
  • Business modeling, e.g. Business Model Canvas and Pain/Gain analysis
  • English requirement: Fluent, other major languages are of benefit.
