Custodial Services Specialist

Description

Drive Green VI is seeking a professional Custodial Services Specialist to provide cleaning services to a conglomerate of companies that includes franchise locations of well-recognized corporate brands. We maintain a professional environment with high standards of cleanliness and presentation and take pride in providing a welcoming workplace for staff and visitors. The Custodial Services Specialist performs a variety of cleaning tasks to keep four main sites and multiple buildings clean, safe, and inviting. The role requires consistent attention to sanitation standards and professionalism when working around staff and visitors, including executive offices. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors, hallways, restrooms, and stairways.
• Dust and clean furniture, equipment, fixtures, windowsills, railings, blinds, and bookshelves.
• Collect and remove waste and recyclables, wash walls, windows, doors, mirrors, and light fixtures.
• Disinfect restrooms and replenish supplies such as towels, tissues, and soap.
• Clean breakrooms, including appliances (refrigerator, microwave, oven, washer, dryer).Maintain outdoor entryways or courtyards as needed.
• Use discretion and maintain a professional demeanor when working in occupied or executive areas to avoid disruptions.
• Follow safety procedures and properly handle cleaning chemicals and equipment (e.g., carpet cleaner, floor buffer).
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Compensation

• Starting rate: $12.00 per hour
• Guaranteed merit increase of $0.50/hour at 6 months, provided performance is satisfactory.
• Guaranteed merit increase of $1.00/hour at 12 months, provided performance is satisfactory.

Schedule & Work Environment

Full-time; schedule may include early mornings or evenings to support daily cleaning of high-traffic and customer-facing areas. Work requires physical activity, including standing, bending, lifting, and operating cleaning equipment.

Requirements

• Ability to perform a variety of cleaning tasks with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and safe chemical use.
• Ability to lift, stoop, bend, and move cleaning equipment for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Courteous, professional interaction with staff and visitors; ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Reliable transportation for travel between sites.
• A valid, unexpired driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
