Position Description
The Quality Specialist (QS) works under the direction of the Operational Excellence (OE) Quality Supervisor, supporting Quality Management Plan initiatives on the PBGC CSS program. The Quality Specialist is responsible for all activities involving quality control surveillance – including the review and analysis of data/documentation to measure our Program’s performance against Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and contractual Acceptable Quality Levels (AQLs), as well as documenting and reporting surveillance results. This role also supports management in root cause analysis, problem solving, risk mitigation, process improvements, etc., as well as performs a variety of other tasks as required.
As a Quality Specialist, you can expect to:
- Perform analytical reviews of operational team outputs to measure compliance to PBGC policies and procedures, as well as contractual AQLs.
- Participate in trendspotting; identification of system improvement needs and priority; implementation of change.
- Identify risks that pose a threat to the client, the company, the contract, and assist in the formulation of options and alternatives to mitigate or eliminate those risks.
- Assist with special projects, ad hoc requests, and providing analytic support to key decision makers.
- Support the development and implementation of improved quality-related measures through the identification of process improvement opportunities.
- Assist with the research and compilation of data analysis for presentation to internal and external stakeholders.
- Research involves utilizing PBGC systems and procedural manuals.
- Work independently with large sets of data.
- Manage multiple tasks, often with competing deadlines.
In compliance with state and local laws regarding pay transparency, the target salary range is $57,000 - $65,000; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Bachelor’s Degree and two to four years’ experience.
- Six years’ related experience in lieu of a degree.
- Previous experience with payment processing, estate, plan Intake, benefit calculations, BDL processing, plan closing, data base building and plan assumption.
- Currently be an employee on the PBGC contract.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PPT).
- In-depth knowledge of the PBGC’s plan life cycle, as well as PBGC policies and procedures preferred.
