Monday - Friday 4:30 AM - 2:30 PM

Every other Saturday 6:30 AM - 12:30 PM

Job Summary: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned. A Tipper Operator will maintain and operate the Tipper at a designated landfill. They will be responsible for safely operating and maintaining equipment.

 

What You’ll Do:

• Works in accordance with Company Safety, OSHA (Occupational and Safety Health Act) requirements as well as all local, state and federal laws.

• Operates the Landfill Tipper and performs other utility duties as required

• Attends and participates in all scheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings as required by Management or directed by the manager.

• Perform and document daily inspections of the equipment.

• Communicate and report to the manager on breakdowns and operational needs.

• Works with landfill personnel and management, following safety and service-related needs for the site

• Service, grease, and cleaning the machine daily.

• Complete company-issued training and certifications.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.

What You’ll Need:

• Minimum of two years of experience as a general laborer.
• Able to perform general maintenance on equipment.
• Previous landfill/waste experience preferred.
• Must be able to work a changing schedule based on demand.
• Must be able to work in the field when required.

Working Conditions:

 

This job is located primarily in the field, at the active working area of a landfill.  The role has an indoor space to control the equipment and has varying noise levels. There is an aspect of this role that is outdoors, especially when inspecting and maintaining the equipment.  There may be varying degrees of temperature and weather conditions.

Pay Range

USD $18.00 - USD $21.00 /Hr.
