About the role

Position Summary:
The Technical Trainer is responsible for developing, delivering, and maintaining comprehensive technology training programs that enhance staff proficiency, support consistent technology adoption, and improve operational performance across the PACE organization. This role partners with Technology, Clinical, Operations, Quality, and Compliance teams to assess learning needs, design standardized curricula, and provide effective onboarding and ongoing education for all technology platforms, including EHR systems and participant facing tools. Serving as the organization’s expert in instructional design and adult learning principles, the Technical Trainer ensures staff are equipped to use technology safely, efficiently, and in alignment with PACE workflows, regulatory requirements, and care planning objectives.

This is a part-time, 32 hours/week, temporary position; initial assignment is expected to last 3 months (may be extended based on business needs).

Essential Functions of the Job:
• Supports the development and maintenance of a comprehensive training program, that includes On-boarding training as well as updates required due to system changes; this will include regularly scheduled classroom sessions, standardized training materials development, leveraging vendor online learning modules
• Manages training evaluations and reporting, providing quarterly metrics and collaborating with the Training Manager and Director, Training & Communication to refine training agendas and instructional approaches based on participant feedback
• Collaborates closely with operational, clinical, and technical departments to translate workflow design and process decisions into clear, accurate training content; works with IT Clinical Support staff to identify training needs and incorporate system or workflow changes
• Provides training for end users, technical trainers, and super users ensuring education on approved system processes, new functionality, system updates, and efficiency enhancing tips
• Supports the Training Team in testing system changes, new features, and functionality, identifying issues that may impact clinical operations and escalating them appropriately to IT Clinical Support
• Maintains up to date knowledge of Epic® and other organizational systems, ensuring training remains accurate, relevant, and aligned with system capabilities

Job Requirements

Experience Required:
• 5 years’ healthcare experience (clinic, hospital or health system) including clinical workflow and clinical terminology.
• 5 years' experience providing systems training preferably on an Electronic Medical Record system in a healthcare setting.

Education Required:
• AA in health-related field or similar degree required

Verbal and Written Skills Required to Perform the Job:
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills while presenting ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
• Outstanding communication skills with the ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization.

Technical Knowledge and Skills Required to Perform the Job:
• Experience using MS Office tools, MS Visio, MS Excel and WebEx etc.

Equipment Used:
• General office equipment to include PC and Software (Excel, Word, Office), phone, fax, etc.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
• This position is an on-site position
• Prolonged periods of sitting, and constant walking and standing
• Driving within local sites is required
• Occasional travel required

Universal Requirements:
