Position Details:

  • Title: Site Director 
  • Schedule: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, M-F, with flexibility. *This position is ONSITE in a manufacturing environment. 
  • Ideal Candidates: The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced operations/manufacturing environment. We are seeking a candidate with at least ~3-5 years managing a site.

Position Overview:

The Site Director will oversee and manage operations for assigned work locations and divisions, ensuring efficiency, compliance with cGMP standards, and preparedness for audits and site visits. This role encompasses strategic planning, budget oversight, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to meet operational goals. The Site Director will also focus on personnel management and fostering a culture of operational excellence across designated sites.

Job Functions:

  • Direct and oversee daily operations at assigned work locations, ensuring production goals, safety, and quality standards are consistently met.
  • Develop or implement operational strategies to align with company objectives and drive organizational growth.
  • Prepare and manage site budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure financial efficiency across operations
  • Ensure adherence to cGMP standards, safety and regulatory requirements, and company policies.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, implement improvement initiatives, and foster a culture of innovation and efficiency.
  • Lead and develop site leadership teams, providing coaching, performance feedback, and succession planning to build a high-performing workforce.
  • Oversee the performance management process, including evaluations, addressing performance issues, and ensuring consistent application of disciplinary actions in alignment with company policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the allocation of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure operational effectiveness and timely production.
  • Partner with corporate and divisional teams, including quality, safety, and supply chain, to align site operations with broader organizational goals.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a management role overseeing operations teams such as production, warehouse, maintenance, and safety.
  • Site leadership experience.
  • ERP/MRP or similar Inventory Management software experience.
  • Understanding of FDA, cGMP, OSHA, EPA standards and requirements.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop team members.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment: manage under pressure, meet shifting deadlines, effectively prioritize workload.
  • Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills; ability to make quick, sound, independent decisions.
  • Highly collaborative and proactive with continuous improvement mindset.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated business acumen with the ability to effectively present and communicate complex information to stakeholders.
  • Must be capable of wearing all protective gear, adhering to all PPE requirements and gowning/garbing procedures.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed to support needs of various shifts.

Desired Skills:

  • Previous experience working in pharmaceutical or chemical industry.
  • Prior Quality Management System (QMS) experience
  • Knowledge of FDA, cGMP, OSHA, and EPA standards and requirements.
  • Familiarity with process engineering concepts, including scale-up and plant introduction of chemical process
