About the role

• Our Chicago Heights team, composed of 40 people.  The position is integrated into the industrial function and focuses on HSE in collaboration with plant production. 
• As a HSE Engineer, you will work on HSE procedures, trainings, and audits to support plant objectives. You will get the opportunity to contribute to the success of the plant Health, Safety and Environmental objectives and have a positive impact on the overall success of the plant.  Initial integration into the role will focus on HSE improvement with eventual development into quality systems support.
• You will be accountable for:
  • Deployment of site HSE policies, procedures and standards
  • Incident analysis, root cause, corrective action and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with HSE policies through routine auditing
• We offer a permanent contract based on onsite working mode.

About you

• Relevant education degree or equivalent in HSE or other science background (Chemistry, Biology, etc).
• Relevant work experience in HSE, HSE system management
• Competencies:
  • Bachelor degree
  • 2-5 years relevant experience in HSE and ISO Systems management or other systems management or other ISO systems management
• Behaviors:
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Effectively respond to incidents and concerns

About the pay and benefits

• Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the USA base pay reasonably expected for this role is $80,000 to $110,000, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
