What you'll do…

  • Coach FSE’s on framework, processes and tools that will enable them to deliver a feature that meets cost, quality, timing, and performance targets.
  • Be the Single Point of Contact for all Features and represent the Feature community in program reviews including DEMS, AIMS, Program Health Reviews, SARs, EMMs.
  • Leverage the Tech Strategy and/or Global Feature Management teams and TPM’s to develop and on-board new features / feature enhancements to build or update the program Bill of Features (BoF).
  • Lead Feature Saga development in Jira, assess Feature Maturity health in Global Integrator and provide regular status updates by leveraging Jira Rich dashboards and gadgets.
  • Create and maintain the BoF in VSEM / Jira / FEDE.
  • Lead Feature deliverable process in Jira – from set-up to execution and report out of status including in Global Integrator as part of the Feature Maturity deliverable.
  • Lead risk mitigation through the identification of escape points highlighted during the tracking of the Feature development process (including Jama Requirement cascades, Feature Spec Cascades, or required work products + testing to meet FuSa, ASO, Cybersecurity, and FMA requirements).
  • Work with our Integration partners, Module SW Owners and FSE’s to identify a Feature Delivery Plan (when a Feature is ready to test) and a Module SW Delivery Plan (when a Module will be functional to test). Highlight and recommend a de-risk plan for any shortfalls in either plan relative to program timing requirements.
  • Lead Feature test plan development in FEDE – from set-up to execution and report out of status. Lead the DRP or FEC Exception process, where needed.
  • Lead LQOS documentation creation and maintenance for all Features as well as the Connected Feature implementation plan.
  • Lead Triage of new Feature issues, and coach teams through cross-functional issue resolution processes, which may include the creation of Fishbones, 8D’s, and MCE/FCE 2-pagers, where needed.
  • Lead development of program/launch de-risk plans with cross-functional teams, where needed.

You’ll have….

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field/degree; or a foreign equivalency degree, or a combination of equivalent experience and education
  • 4+ years of experience with automotive systems engineering
  • Demonstrated experience with project management
  • Strong Leadership skills, passion for quality and passion to improve customer satisfaction

 

Even better, you may have….

  • Masters’ Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Ford Design & Release and/or Functional PMT experience with launch experience
  • Troubleshooting experience with mechanical, electromechanical and software systems
  • Good teamwork skills and practices
  • Ability to handle/resolve urgent launch concerns
  • Demonstrated ability to apply engineering disciplines for failure mode avoidance and Functional Safety
  • Experience with CAN communication data and ECU diagnostics
  • Proven ability to write presentations and communicate well with various groups
