About the Role:

We are looking for a bookkeeper on a part-time contractor basis that performs a range of accounting and financial duties to support the finance functions of the company. The position will be remote, however, we prefer someone in the US and will be on a 1099. This is ideally for someone who has a full-time role as a controller, accountant and would like to work a couple hours a week on the side for extra income. 

What you’ll do:

• Process vendor invoices and reimbursements, including verifying the accuracy and completeness

• Prepare and record monthly credit card transactions on a timely basis

• Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted

• Prepare and record all offline, online, and ACH donations

• Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts and assist with month-end closing

• Assists with the preparation of financial statements, including but not limited to, income statements, balance sheet, cash flow, and management reports

• Maintains budget spreadsheets for analysis of actual performance against budget

• Prepares required reports in a timely and accurate manner

• Performs other related duties as assigned by management 

About you:

• BSc/BA in accounting, finance or relevant field or equivalent education and work experience

• Strong understanding of GAAP and non-profit accounting, required

• Proficient in Quickbooks Online, required

• Proficient with Bill.com, required

• Proficient with Google Suite and Microsoft Office products, required

• Payroll experience with Rippling strongly preferred

• Excellent time management skills; Ability to react and respond to the critical demands of the department with competing deadlines

• Excellent technical skills must be able to use both PC and Mac operating systems and proficient in google suite products, data analysis and internet technologies

Compensation and Benefits:

The final compensation package for this role will be determined during the interview process and is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, geographic location, internal equity, education, skill set, experience and training.
