About the role

We are looking for a passionate and motivated IT Audit Senior to join our growing Internal Audit group. You are passionate about Risk Management and working with Engineering on Audit and Compliance Initiatives for a SaaS company. You have a desire to work with Engineering teams and help them with IT general controls (ITGC's) and IT application controls (ITAC's). You will help define, scope, assess and test IT SOX controls, and provide feedback to control owners. You will become a strategic partner to the Engineering organization and help them drive Compliance and Audit related activities. 

You will report to our Sr. Manager of Engineering and IT Audit, located in Bellevue, WA.

You Will:

  • Lead the planning, scoping, execution, and reporting of audits (SOX and non-SOX) based on identified risks.
  • Conduct technical audits across several Engineering, IT, and business processes.
  • Help plan and manage external audits and assessments, including meeting with internal stakeholders to prepare, coordinating walkthroughs, providing evidence to external auditors, and responding to findings and recommendations.
  • Work with Engineering as well as other functional areas (ex. IT, Finance, Accounting) as you complete and report on the results of each internal audit.
  • Perform IT risk assessments and SOX application scoping.
  • Document narratives and IT processes and identify areas for improvement applying your experience.
  • Be the contact for SOX control and IT process remediation.
  • Establish processes to communicate internal control gaps to relevant parties and manage remediation to closure.
  • Evaluate automated information processing systems, related non-automated processes and the interfaces among them.
  • Present complex audit issues to management.
  • Other duties as assigned.  

You Have: 

  • 3+ years working experience with IT compliance and/or internal audits focusing on IT SOX.
  • Experience working with a broad spectrum of technologies including cloud environments (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS), applications, databases, and operating systems.
  • Experience with SOX IT requirements, COSO and/or COBIT, PCAOB standards, and in-depth experience testing ITGCs, separation of duties (SoD) rules, reports, and integrations.
  • Familiarity with GitLab & GitHub and other DevOps tools.
  • Experience working for a public company or a Big 4 public accounting firm.
  • Recognized as an internal audit expert with knowledge of COSO, SOX and auditing standards.
  • Experience working as a part of a team and also working with independent responsibilities.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in an appropriate field with CISSP, CISA, or CIA.

Smartsheet provides a competitive range of compensation for roles that may be hired in different geographic areas we are licensed to operate our business from. Actual compensation is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, level of professional, educational experience, skills, and specific candidate location. In addition, this role will be eligible for a market competitive bonus and RSU stock grant upon accepted offer. California & New York: $97,200 to $140,400 | All other US States: $90,000 to $130,000
