About the role
Opportunity:
A paid internship with WiTricity Corporation in Nibley, UT for Electrical & Computer Engineering. Candidates must be local to Nibley, UT. Work with engineers locally and remotely to design Altium Designer symbols and footprints used in wireless power systems, develop Python programs with some web development, and other engineering tasks. Learn fundamentals of wireless power and lab equipment.Learn:
- Learn about Altium Designer, PCB fabrication & assembly, version control systems, and other critical EE CAD skills.
- Learn how to use lab equipment used in engineering development such as Network Analyzers (VNA’s), Oscilloscopes, and other power supply and measurement equipment.
- Improve your coding skills with real applications.
- Work with engineers locally and remotely to create new Altium Designer symbols and footprints for cutting-edge designs.
- Design processes, programs, and scripts to improve quality and performance of engineering tasks.
- Build and Test systems as-needed for WiTricity’s cutting-edge wireless power technologies.
- The candidate must be enrolled in an electrical or computer engineering program. Physics majors or others may also qualify with appropriate background.
- Candidates must have taken or be currently enrolled in Circuits I or an equivalent course.
- Candidates with a desire for long-term opportunities across various semesters are preferred. Others will be considered as well.
- The candidate must have a basic understanding of circuits and circuit components as well as some coding experience.
