What you will do

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be a foundational member of our “Indie” team, dedicated to building the best all-in-one commercial platform for independent hotels. You will play a pivotal role in unifying our product lines post-acquisition, tackling the unique challenge of integrating different technology stacks like Python, Go, and .NET. Your expertise will be crucial in shaping architectural decisions and building the future of our platform to empower our team and delight our customers.

Where you will have impact

  • Own and evolve our backend services, bridging the gap between our Python, Go, and .NET stacks.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Ensure the performance, scalability, and reliability of our systems as we process large volumes of real-time data.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, creating a balance between pragmatic solutions and long-term quality.
  • Lead architectural discussions and play a key role in shaping the technical evolution of our platform.
  • Proactively manage project momentum by anticipating roadblocks, proposing solutions, and delivering impactful results.
  • Mentor and elevate your teammates through code reviews, pair programming, and technical discussions.
  • You will be at the forefront of our AI evolution, helping to embed intelligence into our platform. You’ll not only build AI features for our customers but also champion an AI-first development culture within the engineering team.

Who you are

  • Multiple years of experience as a backend engineer, with a track record of owning complex projects from concept to production.
  • A polyglot mindset with a genuine excitement for working across multiple languages and frameworks.
  • Strong skills in software architecture, data modeling, and system design for APIs and distributed systems.
  • Hands-on experience with both relational and NoSQL databases and a clear understanding of their trade-offs.
  • A pragmatic approach to problem-solving, adept at navigating existing systems while building for the future.
  • Experience defining the technical vision for and delivering large, business-impacting projects.
  • You are a forward-thinking builder who views AI as a core component of modern architecture. You have a proven interest (or experience) in working with LLMs, agentic workflows, or AI-assisted coding tools to ship higher-quality code, faster.
