POSITION SUMMARY:
• The Senior Manager of Demand Planning reports to the Regional Director, Purchasing
• Located in Omaha, NE
• Full-Time

The Senior Manager of Demand Planning is responsible for designing and implementing procurement strategies to support the business. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, analyzing market trends, historical data, and customer insights to develop accurate demand forecasts. The Senior Manager will play a critical role in aligning supply chain strategies with demand forecasts, optimizing inventory levels, and contributing to overall business success. This Manager will also play a pivotal part in our ERP implementation of JD Edwards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan and Direct Procurement Functions:
• Lead and oversee procurement functions for the account, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Develop, communicate, and execute sourcing and procurement strategies to support program, corporate, and client objectives.
Continuous Improvement of Forecasting Models:
• Continuously monitor and refine forecasting models to enhance accuracy and reliability.
• Evaluate forecast performance and make adjustments as necessary to optimize outcomes.
Freight Distribution Strategy Development:
• Develop and implement a freight distribution strategy to support the evolving needs of the business.
• Ensure efficient and cost-effective transportation solutions to meet customer demand.
Vendor Relationship Management:
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiating contracts and terms to ensure favorable outcomes.
• Implement vendor management best practices to drive performance and mitigate risks.
Sourcing Initiative Implementation:
• Develop and implement sourcing initiatives to meet procurement goals and objectives.
• Monitor progress and ensure timely achievement of milestones.
Legal and Compliance Oversight:
• Minimize liability exposure by ensuring supplier contracts meet legal, statutory, policy, and procedural compliance.
• Stay updated on relevant regulations and standards to ensure adherence in procurement activities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, production, and other relevant departments to gather insights impacting demand.
Stakeholder Communication:
• Effectively communicate demand forecasts and insights to various stakeholders, including senior management.
• Present findings, recommendations, and plans for meeting demand requirements.
COMPETENCIES:
• Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups.
• In-depth understanding and interpretation of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and an excellent understanding of market dynamics and consumer behavior.
• Ability to work under pressure with meticulous attention to detail.
• Possess a problem-solving mindset and adaptability to changing situations.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Effective communication and presentation skills with the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
• 6 – 8 years of progressive experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain management.
