Swope Mitsubishi has an immediate need for Automotive Service Technician. We have a NEW career program for Technicians coming in with OR without experience. If you are looking for a career beyond changing oil and rotating tires, and wish to grow with a company, then we are the place to be. We offer a GREAT compensation plan that increases as you advance in our program. Manufacturer training is paid in full by our dealership. These full-time positions will receive training from oil changes and tire rotations to braking and suspension inspections. Swope Mitsubishi's service department is temperature controlled.

Automotive Technician will be required to:
- Perform Oil Changes & Quick Lubes in an efficient manner.
- Perform Tire Changeovers & Wheel Balancing.
- Light Duty Repair work - Wipers, Air & Cabin Filters, Battery testing.
- Provide Service Advisor with a quality inspection and communicate recommendations when needed.
- Demonstrate excellent guest service, which includes providing clear communication and feedback about guest vehicles.
- Ensure customer vehicles are kept clean and treated with respect.
- Promote teamwork to deliver on guest expectations.
- Maintain strict adherence to company policy on vehicle care and operation.
- Maintain any certifications and training as required by the manufacturer.
- Willing to help out in any area of the service department where needed, this could include building and grounds maintenance.
- Test batteries of customer vehicles in service bay.
- Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.
Requirements
- Experience in a vocational automotive tech program strongly preferred
- Experience as a Lube Technician preferred, but not required
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Good driving record acceptable to the company
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. with or without accommodations daily, routinely
- High school graduate / equivalent
- Satisfactory character references
- Pass background check and drug screening High School diploma or GED.
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.
- Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong computer skills and diagnostic capabilities
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
- Must maintain integrity, honesty, and work ethics.
