Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Director of Edge Solution Delivery to be responsible for the technical strategy and execution of Edge platform programs. The role will drive the integration of Edge computing solutions into McDonald's technology ecosystem, ensuring high performance, low-latency analytics, and platform optimizations, powered by Google Cloud infrastructure. This position demands leadership to lead multi-functional technical teams and ensures alignment with McDonald’s Enterprise Architecture (EA) standards. This role is also expected to bring thought leadership and industry standard processes to McDonalds and provide recommendations for future enhancements and overall strategy for restaurant platform and operations. Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

Technical Strategy Development:

• Lead the design and execution of the technical vision and roadmap for the Edge platform, ensuring alignment with broader interpersonal goals, including integration with adjacent engineering initiatives. Collaborate with Google and internal partners to lead all aspects of performance metrics and performance measurements for Edge platform operations, optimization, and performance.

Edge Platform Oversight:

• Own the ongoing operation and continuous enhancement of the Edge platform, ensuring the underlying architecture, Operations, and tools are robust and scalable. Lead the technical governance, policy creation, and compliance measures for the Edge ecosystem.

Enterprise Architecture (EA) Alignment:

• Supervise and evaluate the integration of Edge solutions within McDonald's broader EA framework, ensuring compliance with established principles, patterns, and practices. Guide the team in the adoption of modern architectural paradigms and technologies.

Security & Compliance:

• Ensure the Edge platform’s compliance with enterprise security protocols, privacy regulations, and industry standards. In conjunction with Implement robust risk management processes, security assessments, and periodic audits to mitigate vulnerabilities and maintain platform integrity.

Team Leadership & Development:

• Lead and mentor a team of highly skilled leaders and professionals by fostering a culture of inclusion, excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement. Also ensures the team remains inspired and motivated and aligned with interpersonal goals through mentoring, coaching and providing career development opportunities.

Project & Delivery Management:

• Oversee the delivery of Edge platform releases, including segment & market lab deployment in conjunction with Market teams. Ensure all technical work meets the established scope, budget, and timeline constraints. Handle, risk mitigation, and issue resolution during project execution.

The expected salary range for this role is $222,650- $289,440
