Role Description

Form Energy is hiring a Senior Test Engineer to lead the validation of all software and firmware that runs on our battery system.This role reports into our System Controls organization and is vital to making sure our novel multi-day storage systems algorithms work together to safely and reliably charge and discharge from the grid. What you'll do:

• You will support software releases, sign off on regression tests, design the infrastructure to execute these tests, and work with a small world-class team to ship high-quality software

• Create and develop automated HIL validation infrastructure to enable reliable, efficient, thorough, accurate, and repeatable tests

• Continuously analyze and improve regression test suite coverage

• Own the validation release process for customer releases, including test strategy scoping, test execution, and sign off

• Create and execute board level test plans to expose weaknesses or faults

• Validate control algorithms and software using Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test setups

What you'll bring:

• Bachelor’s degree or greater in an engineering discipline (or equivalent)

• 2+ years of experience working on electromechanical systems with exposure to test plan development and execution.

• Experience with a scripting language (Python, etc).

• Excitement and willingness to learn as a member of a rapidly growing multi-disciplinary engineering team

• Excellent communication and organizational skills and preference for working in teams
