Position Overview
Subject to management approval, serves as the Community Services Administrator for the Bureau of Community Services. Organizes, plans, executes, controls and evaluates the overall administration, monitoring, planning policy development and implementation, program development, evaluation and coordination of the statewide system of community services for individuals with developmental disabilities. Supervises, coordinates and reviews the work of professional staff through subordinate supervisors with geographical and/or functional responsibilities.
Essential Functions

Serves as Community Services Administrator for the Bureau of Community Services.

Monitors and directs daily operations of the Bureau of Community Services.

Serves as a full line supervisor.

Plans and coordinates planning, policy development, evaluation, program development and implementation to improve the quantity, array of service options, quality, effectiveness, and responsiveness of development disabilities services statewide consistent with budget and legislative priorities and best practice guidelines.

Verifies compliance with federal requirements for Medicaid-funded services.

Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications

Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years college with course work in a social or human services field.

Requires four (4) years progressively responsible administrative experience in the administration of a health or human services organization, specifically a program serving individuals with developmental disabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Master’s degree in a social services or human services related field.

Four (4) years of professional experience performing quality assurance analysis/assessments and monitoring of community providers and/or other agencies to ensure high quality services and compliance to rules and regulations and provide leadership and direction to improve or maintain quality and examine new and innovative approaches to service delivery.

Four (4) years of professional supervisory experience
