What we do:

The Sr. Test & Evaluation Labs Engineer is responsible for the design and implementation of the Systems Integrations Laboratory (SIL) Powertrain, Rotor Test Stand, Truck Mounted Rotor Test to support the UAM vehicle development program. This role requires close coordination with the vehicle systems teams, systems engineering, facilities, finance, and procurement to ensure successful implementation of lab capabilities.

What you can do:

  • Partner with vehicle engineering team (including ARs/DERs) to design and safely execute test procedures with respect to the SIL, Rotor Test Stand and Truck Mounted Test asset
  • Collaborate with the engineering team/ARs/DERs to define test requirements to support aircraft development and certification
  • Establish and maintain configuration management and conformity of the lab and test asset
  • Work closely with facilities team to ensure a timely and accurate lab build
  • Collaborate with T&E Ground Operations to ensure safe Test conduct in alignment with site requirement and to ensure equipment maintenance schedules are established and followed
  • Maintain the lab and test asset readiness to support the project test campaign
  • Other tasks as assigned

What you can contribute:

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace/Aeronautical, Mechanical, Systems, or Industrial Engineering or other related fields
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in aerospace engineering or similar engineering field (An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered for this role)
  • Experience with dynamometer testing
  • Proven experience in electrical/mechanical laboratory testing
  • Proven experience in developmental, verification, and certification testing
  • Experience in managing complex projects across multi-discipline teams
  • Experience with formal verification procedures
  • Familiarity with DO-178B/C, DO-160, DO-254, ARP 4754A, ARP 4761
  • Critical thinker, adept at relationship building and leading through influence
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive delivery of communication and follow-up
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Must have the ability to independently prioritize and accomplish work within time constraints
  • Self-motivated and forward-thinking personality
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite
  • Experience with DOORS or other requirements management tools

You may also be able to contribute:

  • Master's Degree in a relevant field preferred

Base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a bonus as part of total compensation.

The pay range for this position is:$166,400—$232,960 USD
