Maintenance Technician

Description

CAMS, Community Association Management Services- a local HOA management company is looking for a full-time 40+ hour per week Maintenance Technician who is an energetic self-starter who works well under minimal supervision for work on-site at a large   community (exact on-site location to be discussed in detail during the interview stages).  

General Description

Perform general maintenance/projects and assist in the oversight of contractors/vendors in the community. Hour of work are full-time Monday-Friday, 40 hours a week with on call and emergency needs. 

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned work orders in a timely manner
• Control inventory and management of supplies needed in the community for upkeep
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks to maintain the physical integrity of the property, amenities, and grounds
• Ensure a safe and secure living environment for residents and visitors
• Anticipate, identify, and correct problems involving the property
• Assist in the oversight of contractors and vendors
• Must be able to generate and perform checklists for ongoing maintenance necessities 
• Follow  up on service requests and communicate with managers for the highest quality customer service

Requirements

• Must possess your own set of tools, basic tool-bag
• The position requires at least 2 years of experience in property maintenance or equivalent field
• Attendance and punctuality are essential
• Ability to speak, read, and write English
• Ability to work outside in various weather conditions
• Must be available to perform after-hours emergency calls when needed
• Must be able to respond to emergencies promptly when on-call
• Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record
• Must have comprehensive knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and life safety systems
• Must have general construction knowledge including but not limited to light sheetrock, drywall repairs and painting
• Must have general knowledge of swimming pool operation
• Must be knowledgeable and skilled with the use of various hand and power tools, lift heavy objects, and climb ladders of varying heights
• Carpentry skills
• Must have basic computer skills to input and complete work orders

Benefits and Pay

The salary range for this position is determined by the candidate's qualifications listed above and is negotiable from $20.00-$25.00 hourly with room for growth.
