Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure the integrity and administration of the FHP promotional examination and assessment process. Develops and administers confidential written and assessment examinations in compliance with federal and state laws and agency policy. Develops and initiates surveys, focus groups, and document reviews to complete individual rank job task analysis. Researches and identifies resources to assist in the development and administration of the written promotional exams and assessment process. Plans develop, and coordinates annual promotional process providing implementation plans, determination of individual eligibility, and exam locations with emphasis on customer service orientation. Communicates and coordinates with other Highway Patrol and State Police agencies to secure participation of external law enforcement to ensure diversity and equity in the assessment process. Oversee record management and maintains required documentation to ensure continued accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) and the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Agencies (CFA). Maintains knowledge of eligibility requirements and verifies eligibility of those applying to participate in the process. Receives and tracks requests for separate examinations or other requests for consideration regarding the promotional examination and assessment process.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with the following:
- Typing and/or data entry experience
- Experience composing professional correspondence
- Skill using Microsoft Office (SharePoint, Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Bachelor’s degree or Equivalent of professional and relevant experience
- Experience with Access Database
- Experience in evaluating candidates for Veterans Preference
- Development, Examination and Administrative experience
Job Related Requirements
- The position requires the incumbent to have and maintain a valid driver’s license in good standing. A driver’s license history review
