The Opportunity:

As the Procurement & Strategic Sourcing Intern you will be pivotal in building out a procurement dashboard and gathering requirements from the Indirect Procurement and Strategic Sourcing (IPSS) senior leadership team and staff in building key KPIs to transform procurement processes. Tieing to transforming processes, you will also be leading the charge in creating efficiencies in our ordering process in standardizing catalogs and reducing the time to order for employees.

 

As a Procurement and Strategic Sourcing Intern you will:

• Play a key role in gathering key reporting requirements to build out procurement dashboards and work with a cross-functional team in operationalizing the dashboard
• Gain exposure to the contract terms and conditions large companies like Sephora require in our technology contracts, and sit beside our expert sourcing managers as they negotiate those terms and conditions with potential suppliers
• Publish dashboards, reporting on standard procurement and sourcing metrics like price and contract review cycle time, contract closure rates, contract status reports, savings forecasts and attainment, among other things
• Extract commonly ordered items using data analysis while also gathering requirements from stakeholders and suppliers to enable competitive pricing on catalogued items that are displayed within Coupa including both tech and non-tech items.
• Review our policies, procedures, and desk manuals, with fresh eyes, to identify and recommend updates and clarifications that will help our team members and stakeholders comply
• Learn to present data-driven recommendations to very senior Sephora leaders

• Comfortable working in a highly ambiguous and dynamic environment where the role may adapt based on business demand
• Experience working in a cross-functional organization with the ability to drive consensus and achieve business goals
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in a clear, concise fashion

 

The target hourly pay for this position is $23.00 - $23.00 per hour.
