About the role
Seeking an experienced IT Technical Lead, Global Sanctions with strong expertise in Java, TomEE, SQL, and related technologies to join our dynamic and innovative Sanctions IT team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal technical role in leading technical initiatives, helping with development of IT components, guiding the development team, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality sanctions software solutions as well as supporting existing sanctions solutions that are deployed across the globe. Proficiency in Java, Rally, TomEE, and SQL will be essential for effective project management, data integration, and database interactions. Good knowledge in Data Stage is preferred. Knowledge in sanctions screening process will be a bonus.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Technical Leadership:
- Provide technical leadership, advice and mentorship to a team of developers.
- Guide the design and implementation of robust, scalable, and maintainable software solutions.
Java Development:
- Hands-on development using Java, TomEE, and related technologies.
- Contribute to the design and architecture of software applications.
Database Integration (SQL):
- Utilize SQL for effective database interactions and data retrieval.
- Design and implement database schemas, queries, and stored procedures.
- TomEE Expertise:
- Leverage expertise in TomEE for developing and deploying enterprise Java applications.
- Ensure seamless integration of Java applications with TomEE.
Project Management:
- Utilize Rally (or similar project management tools) for planning, tracking, and reporting on project progress.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and timelines.
Data Integration (Data Stage):
- Demonstrate expertise in Data Stage for efficient ETL processes.
- Integrate data from diverse sources, ensuring data quality and consistency.
- Code Review and Quality Assurance:
- Conduct regular code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Implement and oversee quality assurance processes to deliver reliable software.
Collaboration:
- Foster a collaborative and innovative development environment.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business goals.
Problem Solving:
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.
- Identify and address potential challenges in the development process.
What we’re looking for:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ Years Experience with hands-on Development and 2+ years as a Technical Lead in Java development projects.
• Strong proficiency in Java, TomEE, SQL, Spring Framework, and related technologies.
• Experience with Rally or similar project management tools.
• Strong knowledge of SQL for database interactions.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
• Expertise in Data Stage for ETL processes and data integration is preferred.

• The base salary range for this position in Jersey City, NJ, is $93,000-$123,000. In addition, the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
