Job Summary

PSEG is looking for a Summer 2026 Staff Intern for the Commercial Development Department. 

 

This job involves working as an Intern in the Commercial Development organization, utilizing a broad knowledge of business, engineering principles and practices acquired through on-the-job training and academic experience. The job includes providing support for Competitive Bid Windows, Electric Transmission and Data Center, conducting and presenting industry research, supporting Transmission advocacy, attending site visits and presentations to enhance both technical knowledge and business acumen, keeping abreast of current events and developing an understanding of the underlying commercial & technical drivers for Commercial Development.  

 

This position will be Hybrid Fixed. 

Job Responsibilities

Assignments will include working alongside professionals in the following areas:

 

  • This position will support growth initiatives through a variety of tasks in a complex development environment that includes competitive regulated transmission, clean hydrogen and non-traditional opportunities to grow our utilities.
  • Tasks can include conducting industry analysis, maintaining action items, preparing presentations, and reviewing competitive bid submittals. 
  • The position may support the development of proposals to apply to competitive solicitations and funding opportunities.  
  • Conduct research on state and federal energy policies and keep abreast of developments in the energy industry.  
  • Participate in discussions with vendors to discuss and assess technologies relates to Hydrogen, Transmission, and other commercial development initiatives.
  • Able to work independently, be energetic, inquisitive, and a team player.
  • Demonstrate ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.      

Job Specific Qualifications

  • The successful incumbent(s) must be actively pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited institution in Engineering, and/or Business Management, and graduating between December 2026 and May 2029.
  • Students graduating in May/June 2026 are not eligible unless they are enrolling in a post-graduate degree program in the fall term of 2026.
  • PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent.
  • Incumbents must have completed freshman level course work for consideration.
  • Because this position will require traveling to various PSEG locations, a valid driver's license and a safe driving record is required.
  • Department of Energy’s regulation 10 CFR 810 is required<
