Junior Developer (Entry Level) – ProQuest - Content Ingestion Analyst

ProQuest is looking for a Content Ingestion Analyst to join our growing Academia & Government team. This is a great entry level opportunity for a junior developer, or information studies professional looking to learn and grow their career in a fast-paced continuous learning environment!

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

• Bachelor’s degree in library and information Science, Liberal Arts, or Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 2 + years of experience transforming digital content in a similar industry or through related coursework.

It would be great if you also had...

• Experience using regular expressions.
• Ability to be a critical and logical thinker.
• A degree in Library Information Science, Liberal Arts, or Computer Science.
• Experience working in a Scrum development environment.
• Experience working in a Lean Six Sigma environment.
• Proficiency in a Language other than English.

What will you be doing in this role?

• Develop mappings and transformations to add content to product, migrate content to new manufacturing methods, and perform break/fix analysis and repair using third-party or internal applications.
• Create web harvest or transformation services, cross-referencing the structure of the data with the capabilities of system and product requirements.
• Consistently communicates status and maintain reports throughout all phases of new content, migration, project, and sustaining work.
• Shares functional and technical knowledge with other team members.
• Contributes to problem solving, collaboration, process improvement, and information sharing.

About the Team

We are a team of analysts who work collaboratively with content owners, product managers, editorial, systems, and manufacturing staff to ensure that content supports product, platform, and manufacturing standards; sustaining the quality of ingested content; and contributing to process and system improvements.

Hours of Work

• Full time – Hybrid - Ann Arbor, MI Office (Tuesdays & Wednesdays)
• U.S. Core business (Eastern) hours with the flexibility to support global clients in other time zones as needed.
