Company Description: Mountville Rubber Company is a custom rubber mixing business that provides internal and external customers with 45 million pounds of un-cured rubber across several industries from two manufacturing facilities in Lagrange, GA. Annual sales in 2024 totaled $60,000,000.

This is an entry-level role perfect for recent grads ready to apply their chemistry or biology background in a hands-on, industrial setting. You’ll work side-by-side with our Technical Director and get direct exposure to real-world formulation, testing, and problem-solving that drives our industry forward.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the formulation and testing of rubber compounds

• Conduct routine lab testing (physical, chemical, or mechanical) and accurately record results

• Maintain lab equipment and ensure proper lab procedures are followed

• Document findings and contribute to technical reports and product development logs

• Support troubleshooting efforts for production or material performance issues

• Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Quality, Production) on research-related initiatives

• Keep safety and compliance top of mind at all times

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field is required

• Strong attention to detail and a curious, analytical mindset

• Comfortable working in a lab and manufacturing environment

• Excellent communication skills and willingness to learn

• Ability to follow precise procedures and work both independently and as part of a team

Salary Range:

• $50,000 – $80,000 (commensurate with experience)

Schedule:

• Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM
