We are currently seeking Full Time Certified Patient Care Assistant -PCA to join our Banner University Medical Center- Tucson ICU PCA Teams!
BUMC-Tucson ICU Teams include: CVICU- Cardiovascular ICU, MICU - Medical ICU, NSICU - Neurosciences ICU, and STICU - Surgical Trauma ICU.
A Certified CNA / LNA License is optimal to have, but a passion for healthcare and patients is imperative. As a BUMC -Tucson PCA, you will become an integral part of our wonderful culture and a passion for providing only the highest standard of care to a diverse patient population within a fast-paced environment.
- Full-Time Nights Shift Available (3 -12 hour shifts)
- There are no set day/night schedules.
- Shift Hours Nights (7:30pm-7:30am)
- Varied Shifts - could be working days nights, weekends
- Weekend Rotations are required in this role. 2 Weekend shifts required each month
- Rotating Holidays Required - 1 major and 1 minor
- Enjoy a flat rate $1/hour weekend shift differential and an 18%-Night Shift differential when applicable
POSITION SUMMARY
This position provides routine patient care to promote patient comfort and contribute to the overall patient plan of care. This position is responsible for on-going patient data collection and documentation in the medical records and provides a variety of unit support functions which contribute to the overall efficient operation of the nursing unit/department.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Provides assistance in activities of daily living and completes necessary tasks to promote patient health, including assisting patients with basic hygiene needs, maintaining an optimum level of mobility and providing assistance with nutritional intake as needed.
2. Collects patient specimens and data, including vital signs, input/output and other delegated measurements in accordance with unit/facility policy
