United Christian Academy is seeking an Assistant Coach for the 2025-2026 Fall season and beyond for High School Cheer. The candidate should have a worldview and vision for athletics in-line with the school’s mission and vision statement. We are seeking a coach who is excited to assist in growing and building the program, is excellent in planning and organizing a season with purpose, and has a strong understanding of the sport and ability to teach and strategize with professionalism and maturity.
General Description: The Assistant Cheer Coach is responsible for assisting in organizing and executing the Cheer program at United Christian Academy. He/she is responsible for coaching student athletes in competitive techniques to prepare them for events and competitions. He/she is to motivate student atheletes to develp an appreciation of the sport.
Reports to: Athletic Director
Grade Levels: 9th - 12th Grade
Work Schedule: Approximately 15-18 hours per week from mid-May through November. Must arrive on campus by 3 pm
Position Classification: Seasonal

Qualifications & Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications & Training:
- Must be a born-again Christian.
- Must be a credible Christian role model whose godly lifestyle and character demonstrate obedience to God and the Holy Bible.
- Must be able to support and comply with the school’s Statement of Faith and Christian Conduct.
- Must be a member of an evangelical, Bible-believing church.
- Must have sufficient health and physical endurance to be able to complete the assigned responsibilities.
- Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administrators, parents, and students.
- Must have good verbal,written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Able to work well independently, manage time well, and handle multiple tasks.
- Should have previous coaching experience at middle school or higher level
- Must possess effective coaching techniques and skills.
- Self motivation, creativity, and the ability to deliver constructive criticism.
- Successful completion of NFHS “Fundamental of Coaching” and “First Aid, Health, & Safety for Coaches” courses
- First Aid/CPR Certificate.
- TB clearance within the last four years.<
