The Senior Premium Specialist conducts the most complex internal telephone premium audits with policyholders. This entails a review of claims, class codes, payroll, sales, and legal entity structuring. The individual will be conducting complex audits throughout the day which may include an initial interview, an exit interview, and the creation of a complex audit report that complies with various rules and regulations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and organize a schedule of audits to be conducted.
  • Determine the appropriate level of investigation necessary on an account-by-account basis Process audits accurately and timely via phone interviews with insured (customized based on existing and needed information)
  • Conduct the most complex and extensive telephone audit interviews with policyholders. Prepare extensive audit reports that meet Workers Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau (WCIRB) and or National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI) test audit requirements. Identify the proper investigative actions to follow and alert the appropriate departments (Underwriting, Claims, and SIU) when irregularities exist
  • Notify the Underwriting and Claims department when irregularities appear during the audit.

A minimum of 1 to 2 years of premium audit experience (field or telephone auditing) required. In depth knowledge of WCIRB and/or NCCI rules and regulations preferred.

Certification:

  • Working towards professional designation (APA)

  • The base salary offered for the successful candidate will be based on compensable factors such as job-relevant education, job-relevant experience, training, demonstrated competencies, geographic location, and other factors. The base salary range for the Sr. Premium Audit Specialist position is $24 - $26/hour with a 5% profit sharing bonus.
