Job Description

Job purpose

Responsible for transportation and direct warehouse operations, including release of customer order jobs and assist with all inbound/outbound freight and packaging services, as well as inventory storage in the warehouse.

Main accountabilities and tasks

1. Coordinates in-bound and out-bound freight carriers with planning
2. Assembles orders and prepares goods for shipment per customer requirement
3. Completes inspection of material as need to support the quality department
4. Ensures completed customer orders are shipped without delay
5. Assists with a daily review of scheduled shipments and coordinates with Operations Team to effectively schedule inbound deliveries
6. Ensures all inbound and outbound documents, and products are counted and are the correct products
7. Documents and maintains inventory to ensures product is in good condition, initiating weekly inspection walks
8. Oversees warehousing of material, and is responsible for managing material shrinkage 
9. Cycle counts materials monthly to ensure accuracy
10. Liaison between vendors for supplies and services
11. Makes recommendations to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations
12. Ensures the safety policies are followed throughout the warehouse
13. Ensures that orders arrive and are dispatched on time to the appropriate destinations and in the expected quantities
14. Support or does training for the forklift drivers
15. Provides weekly documented toolbox talks with the team

Qualifications

Desired experience and qualifications

Work experience: 5+ years related experience

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

3. Strong leadership skills: ability to lead a team and work with suppliers in order to meet company objectives
4. Strong interpersonal skills: ability to develop and maintain business relationships

6. Ability to implement process resulting in satisfactory audit practices
7. Proficiency in the use of personal computers
8. Excellent and demonstrated organizational skills, ability to multi-task and operate efficiently despite frequent interruptions
9. Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
10. RF scanners
11. MS Office products
12. Ability to use copiers and document scanners
13. Forklift operator license
