Azurity Pharmaceuticals is seeking an experienced Medical Science Liaison (MSL) Lead to provide scientific leadership and operational oversight for the U.S. Field Medical team. This role oversees the MSL teams across all Azurity’s franchises and combines external scientific engagement with leadership and operational support for U.S. MSL team. 
 
Reporting to the Head of Medical Affairs, United States, the MSL Lead drives high-quality, compliant scientific exchange, cultivates strong KOL relationships, and consistent execution of U.S. medical strategy across therapeutic areas. The role acts as a key bridge between Field Medical, Medical strategy, and U.S. Medical leadership. 
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
Field Medical Leadership 
• Serve as a senior scientific and field leader for the U.S. MSL organization across all franchises. 

• Provide day-to-day guidance, coaching, and mentorship to MSLs, supporting performance, development, and scientific excellence. 
• Support onboarding, training, and continuous development of MSL team members. 

Scientific & External Engagement 
• Maintain an active field presence, engaging with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), investigators, and healthcare decision-makers to ensure success of MSL team. 

• Lead high-priority scientific engagements and support KOL strategy execution. 
• Represent U.S. Field Medical in advisory boards, congresses, and external scientific meetings as needed. 
 
Medical Strategy Execution 
• Ensure consistent execution of U.S. medical strategy through aligned field activities and scientific exchange. 

• Partner with Medical Strategists, Medical Operational Excellence, and U.S. Medical leadership to translate strategy into field-ready objectives and engagement plans. 
• Support insight generation by ensuring high-quality capture, synthesis, and communication of field insights to show impact to key internal stakeholders. 
 
Operational Excellence & Compliance
 

• Reinforce medical governance, compliance, and appropriate scientific exchange standards across the MSL team. 
• Support field medical planning, activity tracking, and use of CRM and insights systems. 
• Ensure inspection-ready documentation and adherence to policies and SOPs. 
 
Cross-Functional Collaboration 
• Partner closely with U.S. Medical Affairs, Medical Strategists, Scientific Communications, Commercial/Franchise Leads, Market Access, Regulatory, and Compliance. 

• Support launch readiness and lifecycle initiatives by enabling effective and compliant field medical engagement. 
• Serve as a trusted medical partner to cross-functional stakeholders while safeguarding the independence and integrity of Medical Affairs. 
 
Performance & Capability Development 
• Support performance management through coaching, feedback, and development planning. 

• Share best practices and contribute to continuous improvement of field medical processes. 
• Provide input into territory planning, resource allocation, and field effectiveness initiatives. 
 
Qualifications 
 
Education 
• Advanced degree required: PharmD, PhD, MD, or equivalent scientific degree. 
 
Experience 
8-10+ years of experience in Medical Affairs or Field Medical roles within pharmaceutical or biotech
