The RealReal’s Finance team is looking to hire a Senior Financial Analyst, Operations that will be an integral part of our growing team. In this position, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing and projecting key financial and operational information. You will be working primarily with our Financial Planning & Analysis team, and the Operations and Retail teams. Operations at TRR include our authentication centers located in New Jersey and Phoenix. You will also support other teams on ad hoc projects. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, be able to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, and show strong leadership skills.
What You Get To Do Every Day
- Prepare financial and operational reports to monitor trends and variances
- Support manager in key processes in financial reporting and analysis, including month end close, annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process
- Maintain models to support Operations business partners in forecasting variable costs and tracking against budget
- Become subject matter expert on financial results for Ops and build ad hoc analysis in partnership with Ops leaders to assess cost opportunities
- Prepare ad-hoc analysis and presentation decks for heads of business functions in advance of business review meetings
- Partner with Accounting to facilitate month end close through appropriate Journal Entries
- Communicate effectively with business partners and colleagues in FP&A in regard to timelines, deadlines, and expectations, and escalate questions appropriately
- Perform ROI analysis on capital requests and new initiatives to support and evaluate the company’s strategic growth opportunities
- Collaborate across support functions (Accounting, Procurement, HR) to provide transparency and manage controls
- Work with the BI & Analytics team to develop reporting to provide more visibility and insight
What You Bring To The Role
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Economics or Finance
- 5 to 7 years of work experience, preferably in Finance at a high-growth startup or a large, well-established company
- Experience with P&L analysis and some degree of familiarity with GAAP accounting principles
- Experience working in Excel spreadsheets and proficient PowerPoint and Google Apps skills, experience in automation in Excel and/or Google Sheets preferred
- Strong written and spoken communication skills; ability to connect with team members and convey technical financial information to non-financial professionals
- Ability to work collaboratively across different functions and diverse personalities
- Desire to work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
- NetSuite, Adaptive Planning and/or Looker experience is a plus
The expected salary range for this role is $97,920.00 - $125,000.00. To determine starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. Additionally, salary is just one component of TRR’s total rewards package. Depending on role, employees may also be eligible for a bonus program, incentive pay and benefits.
